Jamie Reid was a British artist and political activist born in London in 1947 who is best known for his punk-era graphic design, including the iconic work for the Sex Pistols. His signature style, often using ransom-note lettering cut from newspapers, defined the punk aesthetic with his anarchic and subvertive designs for covers like Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols and the God Save the Queen single. Reid was a committed political artist throughout his career, and he passed away in August 2023.
